My period has never been irregular and now im starting to wonder if it has anything to do with my weight loss and diet. I was happy to learn… This can mean one of two things. Either you're not taking in sufficient calories or you're not at a healthy BMI. Both are so bad for your body. A low calorie intake can cause your periods to stop as your body is forced to prioritise what functions to allot energy to. Basically, you're eating below your BMR so your body can't function effectively and has to spend the limited calories on doing the bare minimum to keep you alive. Be aware that it can't do this for long and you get no warning as to when it will stop. Even people at a healthy weight can suffer from a sudden heart attack by following a very low calorie diet. Alternatively your body is at such a low weight that it can't function properly. The only way to stop this is by gaining weight. Basically this is a sign that something is wrong with your approach to eating and it's doing damage to your body. And this is only the effects you can sense, there could be a lot more harm being done than you realise. For the sake of your body and long-term health I would recommend that you re-evaluate your diet. I know losing weight feels good but you need to seriously think about what's important to you. Fast Weight Loss Plan

I'm starting my weight loss plan and of course, I would often know how much weight did I lose after 2 weeks and how my body changed. But I don't know what to measure(legs and arms probably) except my weight. I heard that you need to measure your neck too. Is this true and If it is, why? And when do I need to measure myself? 1 week, 2 weeks, . . ? And is there anything else I need to know about measuring. From what I can tell… First, you should measure whichever measurements are important to you. If you're interested in how your arms or legs change, measure them. Most measure their neck, especially in the beginning, because it is likely that's the first place fat will come off, so you'll view results more quickly in that area. There are 3 measurements that are correlated with disease risk regarding body fat: BMI, waist circumference, and body fat %. BMI should be between 18-29. You can calculate that here Waist circumference measured at the belly button should be below 36 for males and 32 for females. Body fat % should be below 28% for females and below 18% for males. You should be as consistent as possible when taking your weight measurement. Try to weigh first thing in the morning with no clothes, or the same clothes every time, after going to the restroom but before eating. I know the combination is important. But for weight loss – if you don't change your eating habits at all, but start exercising, the speed of the weight loss is much slower then when you're dieting, but not exercising at all. This leads me o believe that diet is more important. . What do you think. After speaking to others on the web, I found the answer. Diet is much more important. Running for half an hour will burn about 300 calories- that's a mars bar, why not only not eat the mars bar? The best combination is a diet with lots of exercise, for weight loss and overall fitness.
